Drawings every discipline can build from.

Mission-critical facilities reward a particular discipline: establish the requirements, coordinate relentlessly, and document so clearly that the field never has to guess. This is how I work through a building.

  1. Design basis

    Capture the requirements that govern the building: safety classification, radiological zoning, occupancy, equipment, and code. Write them down before drawing them, so that licensing and downstream design share one source of truth.

  2. Design development

    Develop plans, sections, and elevations in Revit against the coordinated plant model. Reconcile equipment layouts, structural systems, and enclosure early, when changes are cheap.

  3. Coordination

    Run clash and coordination reviews in Navisworks with Plant Design, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Nuclear Engineering. Resolve conflicts on the model rather than in the field.

  4. Construction documents

    Issue complete packages: floor plans, roof plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, egress and life safety plans, radiation area drawings, and details drawn from a shared, vetted library.

  5. Procurement support

    Author specifications, scopes of work, material takeoffs, and service requisitions so the package can be priced, bought, and built.

  6. Construction administration

    Respond to RFIs, resolve field conditions, and keep the design intent intact through steel erection and enclosure.

  7. Visualization

    Build walkthroughs and renderings in Twinmotion and Lumion that let owners, regulators, and the public understand the plant before it exists.
